Join us for a Vibrio refresher training and safe handling workshop with Megan MacDonald (Environmental Health Officer) and Carol Brady, (Shellfish Permit Coordinator) with the State of Alaska Food Safety & Sanitation | Department of Environmental Conservation.   

The presentation will be a review of Vibrio parahaemolyticus, a bacteria that naturally exists in the environment where oysters grow. We’ll discuss risk factors and mitigation strategies for Alaskan oyster growers to be aware of and provide an open forum for questions.
